The main guy who was supposed to be the lead for the project spent a total of at least 4 hours on the phone speaking with his father about how much he hated the job and how they were probably going to fire him so he didn't help do much of anything. I also had to help load and unload every single truck because they were taking so long.
Unloaded without listening to where things were supposed to go
We contacted their insurance company for the damages in which they were very apologetic but only offered us $800 for the thousands of dollars in damages and then we tried to contact the company multiple times to resolve the over charges for the move in which they refused to do anything about it as well as the manager was very rude to my wife and I and even went so far as to curs at us multiple times and when I ask him to please be respectfully and not curs at us he said, " I'm not F'ing Cursing at you bro."
This moving company is a nightmare. I was supposed to have 4 people, and only three showed up. I was moving 3 miles away, and was quoted 3 hours. They only moved 11 items, and took almost 4 hours to do it. Every item they moved was damaged including my walls. Charged me for mattress covers, mirror covers, and tape. They only used a bit of tape. The mattresses are so dirty, and furniture will cost way more then the overpriced move to repair. The head guy had about 10 cigarettes in just under 4 hours of the move. I have never felt so ripped off before in my life. I am still finding damage, and it's been 2 weeks since the move. I still have to submit a claim with them, but by the sounds of there business practices I will probably be SOL.
Things get broken and misplaced with any move - it's unavoidable. But here's how that happened:
I hope the company owners get to read this and strongly reconsider their way forward and put forth some better standards for their employees.
with that being said, between the trips back an forth between our houses it took them over 2 AND A HALF HOURS to get there. so my wife, two young children and I were waiting for about 8 hours total for no reason during our move... Oh as well as they were late arriving to our house to begin. we were supposed to start promptly at 8 am and they didn't arrive until a little after 9:30...
Absolutely the WORST moving company we have every used. We have moved 4x in the past 9 years being a military family and when I retired we have one last move to do. We moved from San Antonio on the north west side to Boerne (about 45 minutes away)
Overstuffed the truck in order to take only one truck, even though we had booked two (and in the end, had to take two anyway)
I would NEVER Recommend them to any of my friends or family and I will be following up with the BBB. This is Not how a business should be run, and you should not speak to your customers in such a way especially women.
Kevin
also he did NOT cover the floors in the old house or our new house, they did NOT wrap all the doors, and were not considerate of the walls.. so we had filthy carpet, scratches in all the old homes wood floors and the new homes and we had chips and scratches in the doors and door ways of both homes. So we had to have them repaired and the carpets cleaned in the homes due to all the dirt and mud that was tracked in...
The movers were courteous to us, but argued among themselves about how things would be done and asked us to intervene. If I had known how to do it myself, I wouldn't have hired movers!
Crammed most things into large boxes, making them too heavy
Stacked boxes without consideration for their contents, crushing things beneath
My employer paid $18,000 to pack and move our family from Texas to Tennessee. That should have bought us a little care.
We used them to move the big stuff, fridge, couches, chairs, mattresses, box springs etc! Josh put us down for 4 guys and about 3 hours and just under 600 dollars! 1 guy was over an hour late because of drama in his life that he explains to my husband! I don't care about that stuff and just want my stuff moved. They then put a pad lock on the truck and tell me that they will tell me what I owe when we all get to my new house that is 1.3 miles away! They had a guy from a San Antonio branch filling in and he actually questioned their practice on not giving our bill and paying them and there. Anyways we followed and told them we cant afford them any more time and just drop it off in the driveway! Nope they couldn't do that and ripped all the plastic off our fridge and made put hand holes in every single box spring we had and grease on them too! Our leather couch had major nicks on it! We ended up paying over 900 and Josh didn't answer our calls after and we are owed money back! I guess we spared them time by dumping the couches in our dinning room! One of the guys also took time to talk to one of our new neighbors about moving them too On our dime really! The big thing to me is one of the guys spit his tobacco pouches in our kids toilet and didn't flush! Oh and we never got the money the guy said we would get back! This crew was a rip off for us and we have a few clothing items that were left too!
The next morning we began to put out things together so we could function in our new home, and we found that over 80% of our belongings were damaged, our brand new bedroom set was complete scratched up, our desk had multiple scratches and larch chips out of some of the corners. our leather couches had a few tares in them as well as my wife antic cabinets from her Great Grandmother were badly damaged even after we told them how valuable they were...
Didn't label boxes
Didn't reassemble furniture and lost the hardware we needed to do it ourselves
We were quoted a price and we ended up being charged over$1800 more than the quote, we didn't get 1/3 of our stuff moved that was supposed to be moved so I had to rent a truck and make 5 trips to move the rest of our belongings. We were also promised to have 5 people to move our belongings and we didn't get all of them, we initially only had 3 and then eventually we had a 4th show up.
The move didn't get finished up until 1:30 am, and we were told the move would only take around 8-9 hours. As well as only 2 beds, a desk and the couch were moved in to the house, every thing else was lest in the garage for us to have to move in, and NOTHING was assembled as promised contracted.
Outstanding service! My first contact was with Nick. He was so delightful, friendly, and thorough. It was refreshing to be helped by someone that truly cares about my needs and got me scheduled to move in a hassle-free manner. After that I received a call from Phil, who was so nice and welcomed me to the All My Sons family. The moving crew come out on time and was lead by Richard. He was fantastic, professional, and had his crew moving efficiently. They did a walkthrough with me to make sure that there was a good game plan in place. The move went much faster than I anticipated. I've used other movers before and the experience was no where near the quality that All My Son's provided. You can tell that these guy are happy doing their jobs and it shows in thier work. It's impossible to give them enough praise. You can't go wrong with these guys!
